Workshop with Teachers on Restorative Justice in Schools

On 6 December 2023, Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice organized a workshop with teachers from Bikalpa and Bhrikuti School on ways to use restorative justice and nonviolent communication. There is a general misconception that schools are the best suited to “correct” behaviours of children and that mode of correction is often corporal punishment or similar forms of violence.

The workshop aimed at demystifying the notion of discipline in school and classroom settings. The event was attended by 13 teachers of the Bikalpa and Bhrikuti School.
