Third Workshop on UN Youth, Peace and Security

On 29 March, 2024, Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice organized the Third Series of Workshop on Youth, Peace and Security UNSC Resolution 2250 in Kathmandu.

As a series of workshop focussing on various aspects of the Youth Peace and Security Agenda, the workshop centered on the second pillar of UNSCR 2250, i.e., Protection. The workshop was
organized aiming to explore aspects of protection for youths related to peacebuilding in Nepal
through an engaging conversation with relevant stakeholders. There were 42 participants who
attended the workshop representing various non-government organization and government
organization. Mr. Surendra Basnet, vice chairperson of NYC was the chief guest of the event who
shared the keynote speech. As the second pillar aims to create an environment that is inclusive,
safe, enabling, and gender responsive, participants discussed the issues and possible way out related to
youth and protection in the workshop.
