Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award 2024 – Call for Nominations

Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice would like to invite individuals and organizations working on peace to nominate peacebuilders for the Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award 2024.

Background of the award

Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice announces an establishment of a peace prize honoring Ms. Stella Tamang, a long-time unsung hero in Nepal’s peacebuilding processes at community and national levels. Ms. Tamang has worked for more than four decades building peace bottom-up in Nepal through various innovative ways and has impacted the lives of thousands in Nepal and beyond. The prize called, Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award, will was established in 2023 and is awarded every year to an individual who has demonstrated innovations, leadership and continuity in peacebuilding works.

Nomination for the award

1. Names for nominations should come from a nominator. One nominator can send only one nomination.
2. Please don’t send self-nominations and anonymous nominations. 
3. The nominator should inform the nominee about this award and the nomination.
4. The nomination application can be sent in English or Nepali. If you are sending a video application in other languages than English or Nepali, please add a subtitle in Nepali or English. 

Timeline

• Call for nominations: 1 February 2024
• Announcement of Award: 1 August 2024
• Award ceremony: 21 September 2024 (Marking International Day of Peace)

स्टेला तामाङ शान्ति नवप्रवर्तन सम्मान २०२४ को लागि मनोनयन खुला

राष्ट्रिय र सामाजिक स्तरमा शान्ति निर्माणमा श्रद्धेय स्टेला तामाङले पुर्‍याउनु भएको अतुलनीय योगदानको कदर गर्दै नेपाल पुनर्स्थापकीय न्याय मञ्चले स्टेला तामाङ शान्ति नवप्रवर्तन सम्मान (Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award) स्थापना गरेको छ । नेपालभित्र वा बाहिर रही शान्ति निर्माणका पहलहरूमा नवीनता, नेतृत्व र निरन्तरता प्रदान गर्ने व्यक्तिलाई कदर गर्ने यस सम्मानको उद्देश्य रहेको छ ।

सम्मानको मनोनयन

1. यस सम्मानको लागि मनोनयनकर्तामार्फत नाम पठाउन सकिनेछ । एक मनोनयनकर्ताले एक जना मात्रै मनोनयन गर्न सक्नुहुनेछ । 
2. स्व-मनोनयन वा बेनामी मनोनयन नपठाउनुहोला । 
3. आफूले मनोनयन गर्ने चाहेको व्यक्तिलाई मनोनयनकर्ताले जानकारी दिनुपर्नेछ । 
4. मनोनयनको फारम नेपाली वा अङ्ग्रेजी भाषामा भरेर पठाउन सकिनेछ । भिडियोमार्फत पनि मनोनयन पठाउन सकिनेछ र भिडियो नेपाली वा अङ्ग्रेजी भाषामा पठाउन चाहनुहुन्छ भने, त्यसमा नेपाली वा अङ्ग्रेजीमा सब-टाइटल राखेर पठाउनुहोला । 

यस पुरस्कार २१ सेप्टेम्बर २०२४ मा प्रदान गरिनेछ ।
