Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award

Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice announces an establishment of a peace prize honoring Ms. Stella Tamang, a long-time unsung hero in Nepal’s peacebuilding processes at community and national levels. Ms. Tamang has worked for more than four decades building peace bottom-up in Nepal through various innovative ways and has impacted the lives of thousands in Nepal and beyond. The prize called, Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award, will be awarded every year to an individual who has demonstrated innovations, leadership and continuity in peacebuilding works.

It is hoped that Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award will inspire people who have been working for peace often despite adversities.

राष्ट्रिय र सामाजिक स्तरमा शान्ति निर्माणमा श्रद्धेय स्टेला तामाङले पुर्‍याउनु भएको अतुलनीय योगदानको कदर गर्दै नेपाल पुनर्स्थापकीय न्याय मञ्चले स्टेला तामाङ नवप्रवर्तन शान्ति सम्मान (Stella Tamang Peace Innovations Award) स्थापना गरेको छ । नेपालभित्र वा बाहिर रही शान्ति निर्माणका पहलहरूमा नवीनता, नेतृत्व र निरन्तरता प्रदान गर्ने व्यक्तिलाई कदर गर्ने यस सम्मानको उद्देश्य रहेको छ ।

यसबाट सम्मान हुने व्यक्तिले कठीन परिस्थितिमा पनि शान्ति निर्माणमा विश्वास राख्ने र अथक काम गर्ने सबैलाई प्रेरणा प्रदान गर्नेछ भन्ने आशा राखिएको छ ।
