NFRJ conducted a district level refresher workshop for Dhanusha district on Nov 1-2, 2021 via zoom. On day 1, the workshop focused on history, evolution, concept and context of dialogue. It also dealt with dialogue, debate, mediation, negotiation, discussion, conversation. Further it dealt with Structural aspects of peace and conflict and also dialgue steps, process and practice and lastly dialogue and social justice in communities.
On the second day, the workshop focused on dialogue and social inclusion and social cohesion. Similarly skills and tools needed for dialogue facilitation was also explored with some case studies and also some exercises were also done. Overall the workshop was able to provide the technical support (conceptual knowledge and practicing skills) for members of Provincial Dialogue Forum Dhanusha.
The sessions were led by Harka Gurung, Tulasi Joshi, Shobha Regmi and Hari Prasad Pandit. There were 9 participants (5 male, 3 female and 1 gender and sexual minority) from District Dialogue Forum Dhanusha and participants were from various sectors such as journalists, writers, academicians, politicians and social activists.
