Nepal Dialogues Initiative (NDI) is a collective of individuals and organizations working to promote the culture of dialogue and peacebuilding in Nepal. NDI has been organizing various events including the annual Nepal Dialogues Summit as a way of connecting ‘grassroots to global/practices of dialogue and peacebuilding. The Summit has been addressed by Ms. Ouided Bouchamaoui, the Nobel Peace Prize winner from the National Dialogue Quartet of Tunisia (in 2022) and Ms. Miriam Coronel-Ferrer, the Ramon Magsaysay Award from the Philippines (in 2023). Through these years, the NDI has realized the need for developing collective dialogue resources that match local realities and also capture the global momentum on dialogue. Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice serves as the Secretariat of the NDI.
In this regard, the NDI plans to organize a residential Nepal Dialogues Co-Design Workshop on 12-14 June (30-32 Jestha, 2081) in Kathmandu where dialogue practitioners/trainers will be exchanging dialogue concepts, ideas, methods and practices and will come up with collective contents of dialogue training suitable to Nepal.
